Vocational Evaluation

NAYWY is proud to be an approved vendor for the Florida Department of Education Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. Our Vocational Evaluation service includes four services Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation, Community Career Exploration Evaluation, Transition to Work Evaluation and Community Based Work Evaluation. We are currently accepting referrals for Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. 

Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation

The CVE is a one-day assessment employing clinical interview and a
variety of tests designed to assess the evaluatee’s aptitude, vocational
interests, intelligence, and academic achievement with the aim of supporting him/her/they to identify meaningful vocational goals.

Community Career Exploration Evaluation

The CBE-E is a two day evaulation. A CVE is compelted the first day. On the second day the evaluatee travels into the community with a Vocational Evaluator to sites performing work that interests him/her/they. The evaluatee is supported to observe and speak with employees and managers to learn information about duties, schedules, and pros and cons in order to promote informed choice about future work.

Transition to work evaluation

The CBE-T is a two day evaluation. A CVE is completed the first day. The second day evaluatees are assessed in an employment setting using real work to identify his/her/their basic abilities. work behaviors, physical tolerance, ability to follow directions and remain on task, social skills, and work readiness.

Community Based Work Evaluation

The CBE-W is a two day evaluation. During both days evaluatees are assessed in an employment setting using real work to identify his/her/their basic abilities, work behaviors, physical tolerance, ability to follow directions
and remain on task, social skills, and work readiness.
