NAYWY is proud to offer person-centered services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities who are authorized and funded for home and community-based services by the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities. We are dedicated to serving the entire Suncoast Region, including Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, Sarasota, Pasco, De Soto, Charlotte, Collier, Lee, Glades, and Hendry counties. Our commitment is to provide quality care and support to enhance the lives of those we serve.

Supported Living Coaching

Supported Living Coaching services supports and empowers individuals to thrive in their own homes. Our dedicated team helps clients find suitable housing and develop essential life skills, including hygiene, household chores, meal preparation, and financial management. We also focus on enhancing social and adaptive skills, ensuring our clients have the support they need to independently and confidently. Personal Supports

Personal support services offer essential assistance and training in daily living activities, including eating, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, and meal preparation. As outlined in the support plan, these services may also encompass heavy household chores to enhance home safety, such as cleaning floors, windows, and walls, securing loose rugs, or rearranging heavy furniture. Additionally, non-medical care and supervision are integral to this service and may include facilitating access to community-based activities that enhance independence.

Companion- Life Skills Development

Level 1

Companion services offer essential non-medical care, supervision, and socialization activities for individuals aged 21 and older. These services facilitate access to community-based activities that might not be available through natural or unpaid support systems. By focusing on activities that enhance the recipient's ability to engage with resources independently, companion services play a vital role in promoting social well-being and enhancing quality of life.

Supported Employment- Life Skills Development Level 2

Supported Employment services provide training and assistance to support recipients in job development and sustaining paid employment at or above minimum wage. We assist with the acquisition, retention, or improvement of skills related to accessing and maintaining employment, or developing and operating a small business. The recipient receives help in securing employment according to the recipient’s knowledge, skills, abilities, supports needed, desired goals, and planned outcomes. This service is conducted in a variety of settings, including work sites in which individuals without disabilities are employed. This service includes assisting a recipient to learn job tasks needed to be employed, and the recipient is included in all aspects of job development, interviewing, and job seeking activities.

Respite

Respite care offers essential support and supervision for individuals under 21 years old when their primary caregiver is unable to fulfill their responsibilities. This service is designed for both planned and emergency situations, providing care during brief absences or when the caregiver is temporarily unable to provide necessary supervision. It ensures that recipients receive the attention they need while giving caregivers a much-needed break. Respite care plays a crucial role in maintaining the well-being of both caregivers and those they care for.
